Increase number of characters in task name
I've just bought this app and it appears to do everything I need - the only issue I'm having is that its limited to about 35 characters for a task. Unfortunately, because of the way I number my projects it leaves very little visible and its hard to see what project/task I'm editing; i.e., a project/task name may be…
12345 - [Client name here] Project title goes here followed by date (Nov '13)
…but ends up being displayed as…
12345 - [Client name here] Project
With a long(ish) client name you don't even see the task (project) description. Is it possible to increase the number of characters in a project name? I've been using 'Tyme' which allows this but it seems to be the only shortcoming I can find with Timelime - if it were possible to expand the menu window horizontally this would be the icing on the cake.
Other than that its great!

Bump... any idea if there's a chance of this being implemented?

Hi Moz,
thank you for your suggestion and sorry for the late reply.
Right now the task names are limited to a certain number of pixels. I have done this to avoid using abbreviations in the pie chart and other places.
Besides you I have had other people requesting the possibility of longer task names. So I am going to implement this feature in one of the upcoming updates. I have added this feature to my todo list of version 1.3.
I don't know if it makes sense in your case, but until then you could structure your tasks like that:
12345 [parent task]
Client name [subtask] Project title + date [subtask]
The possibility of expanding the menu bar panel and the leftmost column of the main window is a great idea. Thank you for that. I'll see what I can do.
Niko
