How to lose the black button behind a task in the menubar

Lovely app. I use a black menubar, via Obsidian. I'd like to lose the black sprite / image you have behind tasks in the menubar (see attached images). The one that mimics a button. I looked in the package contents, in Contents/Resources, but it was not clear to me where this image is. If I can find it, I can open it, make it transparent in PS, and replace it.

Second, if possible I'd like to change the color of the task in the menu bar from #FFF to a shade of grey. Is there a way to do this?

    I'm glad you like the app!

    The Timelime menubar item is drawn in code, so you can't change its appearance easily.
    I will probably make this item more customizable in a future update. I'll consider your needs then.
