How do I create a pinnable note

On Timelime I use the notes feature all the time. Sometimes a different type of note appears and I've noticed that it's "pinneable". I haven't been able to find out how to get the pinneable note. Could you please tell me how?

    Hi there!

I think you are referring to the note entry window that is usually attached to the menu bar, but can be detached and pinned.

When a timer is running, right-click on the menu item and choose “Add note to timing”.
Then drag the window that did pop up away from the menu bar. Now the note window stays open always.
If you want it to stay on top of all windows (pinned), just push the circular button in the top left corner of the note window.

I hope this answers your question,
    Niko

    Nico, got it!

Thank you for your quick answer. I have been a fan of Timelime for years and I have things to learn yet.

Probably this is not the proper way to send you a suggestion but anyway.

Everyday I make around 40 entries on Timelime, I use an Apple Thunderbolt Display and use the Timelime main window top to bottom and can see about 15 entries at the same time. When I try to look at my latest entries I always have to use the trackpad to go to the last entry, I repeat this movement many times a day. For me it would be nice an option to “automatically scroll to the top” to see the latest entries.

    Thank you

I forgot to tell that whenever I create a new entry I have to scroll down the whole list to see it and fill the note.

This is the important action that I repeat many times during the day.

    Hi Tomás,

It’s great to hear that you have been using Timelime for years!

Thank you for the suggestion. I’m trying to fix this issue right now…
Got a question: What do you mean by "whenever I create a new entry”? Can you please describe this in detail. There are different ways to create timings.

Anyway, whenever you have ideas how to improve Timelime, let me know.
I am working on a new app "Timelime Version 2”, which improves Timelime in many areas.

    Hi Tomás,

I have now implemented a fix to the issue. In the scenario of your video, the table will automatically scroll to the top so the added timing is visible.
The fix will be available with the next update soon.

    Thanks again,
    Niko
