What "fields" are exported to the CSV file?

    Hi Mike,

in the CSV file there is one row for every timing. Each row consists of the timing's task, duration, date, and its notes.
You can select specific tasks and a date range for inclusion in the CSV export.
If you have any further questions please let me know.

    Have a great day,
    Niko

Another topic I should have read before puchasing! :-( I was looking for an app that would let me see how I'm spending time in my day - that is, a chronological listing of start/end times. The same you see in the UI before you merge timings. Is there any possibility of including start time and duration in CSV export? t (for unmerged items, obvously)

    Thanks -- Barbara

P.S.I tried to just open the file in Excel and also tried a couple of conversion tools, but the file isn't recognized by Excel or the tools. One tool gave me this error:

    XmlToXlsx conversion started...
    Date: 2013-12-09 21:57:43
-XML file uploaded to server. -One or more of the provided arguments is incorrect: The table (task) cannot be the child table to itself in nested relations.

    -Source file deleted.

    Hi Barbara,

in the current version, only the date and duration of the timings are included in the CSV file.

The next update of Timelime will include a more flexible way to export CSV files, that lets you optionally include start and end times.

    Thank you,
    Niko

    Hi Tom,

to export CSV data please follow these steps:

    • in the app's main window select the "Timings" view on right side of the window
    • select tasks and a date range you want to export
    • click the export button on the right side of the status bar
    • choose CSV as export format

    Thank you,
    Niko
