App not showing in desktop while open
Hi, I am reopening this app after several years of disuse. But when I click on the app, nothing is visible on my deck, finder menu items, or desktop.
I tried app zapping the app, but receive an error message stating the app is open, and cannot be deleted.
How can I see the timeline's display?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!
Paula

Hi Paula,
Timelime should sit in the macOS menu bar if it is launched but not visible in the app switcher etc.
If you can’t see Timelime anywhere please search for Timelime in the “Activity Monitor” utility app and force quit it there.
Thanks,
Niko

Hi Niko, I am returning to this after abandoning because I need Timeline to work.
I found the app in my menu bar. No icon is visible. See the enclosed screenshot.
I’ve gone through all the Mac OS suggestions for showing app icons in the menu bar, and all my other apps appear in the menu bar except Timeline.
Is there a way to make the app icon visible in the menu bar?
Thanks for your help!
Paula

Hi Paula,
I’m sorry for the inconvenience!
Can you please check these settings:
In Timelime, go to Timelime Preferences > General and check the setting “Appearance”. If it is set to anything other than “system”, please set it to “system" for now.
Also, please check the setting “Appearance” in macOS System Preferences > General. Is this set to “Auto” on your mac?
Then relaunch Timelime and check if Timelime's menu item is visible.
The next Timelime update, which will be available with the release of macOS, should fix this issue.
Thank you,
Niko

Hi I have the same issue and the steps described did not fix it for me... when will it be fixed again?
Thanks!
Alex

Hi Alex,
This problem is fixed already in the last update (version 1.7.2). Is this the one you are running?
Otherwise, please describe what is happening on your Mac.
Thanks,
Niko
