    Hi!

Thank you for reporting this issue!

To figure out the cause, I need some more Information:
    - Are you running the latest version of Timelime on the Mac Pro (version 1.5.11)?
    - Is the app crashing when deleting a task? If yes, can you please send me the crash report. (Let me know if you need help with this.)

    Thanks,
    Niko

    Salve,

    grazie mille

    Hello,

    The version used is 1.5.11.
The application closes after the command deletes task.

How can I send you the report? where can I find it?. When the application is shut down, no error message is displayed.

    thank you so much

    Thank you for the reply!

After deleting the task, does the menu bar item disappear also? That would mean the app crashes.
To get more information about what is happening, please do the following:

    1. Make sure Timelime is running and there is a task you can delete later.
    2. Open the Console app. It is located in the Applications > Utilities folder. (The names might differ in Italian…)
    3. In the Console app, push the “Clear” button in the toolbar, to remove all the messages that are currently displayed there.
    4. Delete the task in Timelime.
    5. Now there should be some new messages displayed in the Console app.
    5. Please copy all of the messages and post them here or send them to my email [email blocked] <mailto:[email blocked]>.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Niko,

I am having the same issue. I have not been using Timeline. Last time I tested it was somewhere around last year, if I recall. On August 22nd I did a clean install of my system (not relevant, just saying).

Today (November 1) for some reason I decided to install Timeline again and give it a try. I am experiencing the same issue. I had no installation of Timeline (hence the clean install) so I don't have any configuration or other files in my system that would related to Timeline in the past.

So this is what I done.

    1. Create a task, Task A
    2. Create another task, Task B and make this a subtask of Task A
    3. Create another task, Task C and make this a subtask of Task B
    4. Right click one of the tasks and select Delete Task
    5. Crash

This happens all the time, so it seems there's no way to remove any of the 3 empty tasks I have just added to the freshly installed and blank Timeline app for it's constantly crashing.

    Timeline 1.5.11
    OS X El Crapitan 10.11.6

I have enclosed a zip file. In it, you find "console.txt" which is the console showing at the time of the crash. And also "crash-report.txt" which is, well, the crash report :-)

    Hi Les,

Thank you too for reporting this issue!

I have fixed this today and will release an update as soon as possible. It turns out the crash only happens when running El Capitan.

    Thanks again,
    Niko
