Duplication of tasks when trying to move into another
Hi,
first off nice app. Very pleased so far (just bought it). But it looks really good and clean.
Now the issue:
When you have two tasks on the same level and then try to put one of them inside the other (as child task) the dragged task gets the parent and stays nested as well (I don't know whom of them is the duplicate). But it does not get the child. The means one can't nest a task by dragging as it seems to me. I attached some screenshot so you can (hopefully) see the issue.
I just installed the software. I'm on 10.8.4.
Best regards,
Flo

Hi Flo,
thanks for buying my app! I'm glad you like it so far.
Don't worry the tasks don't get duplicated. In your scenario (pictures), the parent task gets created. and the dragged task is one of the child tasks.
The thing is, parent tasks can't have timings. So when the "dropped on" task does contain timings, a new parent task has to be created.
If the "dropped on" task doesn't contain any timings the dragged task could become a child task of the "dropped on" task. I had it implemented like that before... but I changed it back to the way it is now, as I thought it would confuse users that sometimes a new task is created and sometimes not.
I hope this makes sense to you.
Btw., you can right-click on a task and choose "Add Subtask".
If you have any more problems or questions, please ask!
Thanks again,
Niko
