Time Toggle
Two related issues. What is the function of the "Add Timing" button at the bottom of the right hand pane? It adds a selected task entry with the same start/end data but does not toggle the timer, It order to toggle the timer, I must use the drop down menu, choose a task, and then click on the clock icon. Thereafter the timer shuts off after two minutes of run without any prompts. Some very basic documentation would help. What's going on?

Hi William,
Firstly, thanks for using Timelime!
The "Add timing" button at the bottom of the "Timings" view can be used for manually adding timings. After you add a timing manually, you can edit its date, start, and end time by clicking on it.
You are right, the timer, that records a timing, can only be toggled in the menu bar, or the panel that pops up from the menu bar.
I'm not sure what you mean by "Thereafter the timer shuts off after two minutes of run without any prompts". Do you mean the timer stops by itself, that definitely shouldn't happen.
Did you know that you can display the time of the currently running timer in the menu bar (Timelime preferences > "Menu Bar" > "Appearance" > "Show time in status item")?
Thanks again,
Niko
