Unable to sync Timeline with ICloud after reinstall

Before I reinstalled my Mac I made sure that Timeline was synchronized with ICloud and had no errors. After the installation when I try to sync I get a message saying that there's cloud data available. At this stage I chose "Continue" to merge all data but then it says "Unable to sync, try again in a few seconds.

So far I've done the following:
- Tried disabling and reenabling ICloud
- Restarted my Mac several times as the sync-manual suggests
- Reinstalled Timeline
- Tried syncing from different networks, in case it's a firewall/port issue
- Made sure ICloud is enabled (have other apps syncing without problems)

Anyone else having the same problems or might have a solution?

    Hi David,
I just found your post in the Tender Spam Folder. Don't know why it ended up there...
Did you get this problem resolved, or do you still need help?

    Hi Stefan,

did you try to start the iCloud sync from scratch?

Please try this (you will lose your Timelime data that is stored in iCloud):

    1. Turn off sync in Timelime's preferences on all your devices.
    2. Open OS X System preferences and go to the iCloud settings.
    3. Click on "Manage..." in the lower right corner.
    4. Then select Timelime and click on "Delete Documents and Data".
    5. Now enable Timelime sync on your devices again. Wait about a minute or two after enabling sync on each device to allow the sync data to be distributed.

Pleas let me know if this fixes your issues,

    Hi Niko,

thanks for the help. After deleting the Timeline-Data on iCloud, it works again.

    Cheers, Stefan
