Can't reorganise task and subtasks
I finally managed to import CSV data from previous tools, but I'm having difficulties to reorder tasks/subtasks.
My initial hierarchy had only 2 levels (task/subtask) and since some of the old tasks were related, I tried to group them under a common parent, but some of the nodes cannot be moved as subtasks, although with some other I had no problems.
As far as my tests revealed, only leaf nodes in the hierarchy can be moved as children of another node (the cursor changes to Make subtask); for nodes that already have children, moving them only offers the Merge tasks option.
Is there a special trick that I'm missing, or a small bug that needs fixing?
Regards,
Liviu

Hi Liviu,
There is a limit to three levels of tasks. Or in other words, each top-level task can have a maximum of two levels of subtasks (top-level task -> child -> grandchild).
Also, tasks that have its own timings cannot have subtasks
Please consider the following scenario for example:
You have got a task table that looks like this:
Task A
Child A1 Grandchild A11 Task B
Child B1
Now you are trying to drop Task B onto Child A1. It'll offer you to merge Task B and Child A1. But you cant make Task B a subtask of Child A1 because this would result in four levels of tasks.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, let me know.
Thank you,
Niko

ah, ok, this explains it, I was trying to create 4 levels.
any reasonable explanation for this limitation? I don't think that technically there should be problems, hierarchies are hierarchies anyway, regardless the depth level.
